Alarcon Praises Latin American Integration Process

Havana, August 3 (acn) The President of the Cuban Parliament, Ricardo 
Alarcon de Quesada, said on Thursday that the transformation of the 
Latin American and Caribbean region is no longer a project and that it 
has become a reality.

Speaking to deputies at the National Assembly of Venezuela, Alarcon 
noted that the slogan "Another World Is Possible" is materializing and 
added that the key is to consolidate true integration among the peoples 
of the region.

"The new world is already being built in Latin America. We are proving 
that it is not only an ideal but an attainable goal

"The Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas (ALBA) is the best proof 
as it has overcome the resistance period and has become a real 
alternative of integration," stressed the president of the Cuban 
Parliament.

According to Prensa Latina news agency, Alarcon pointed out that the 
current process of changes promoted by the Venezuelan government will 
allow that country to be an example of the people's struggle for social 
justice and concluded saying that these changes may be influencing what 
could be an eventual transformation within the United States.
