Banana Bunch Could Hit A New Guinness Record

Holguin, August 9 (acn) A possible Guinness Record could be set by a
300-piece banana bunch cropped in a farm on the small town of
Buenaventura, in the eastern province of Holguin.

The bunch, property of the Collazo Arauz family, has 1.20 meters of
length and weighs 125 pounds, with some of the bananas measuring over
20 cm long and seven centimeters of diameter. A slightly smaller bunch,
of 117 pounds, had been previously cropped by the family.

Specialists are shocked though, given that the plant grows on a clay
soil where no fertilizers have been applied, and water seems to have
been the only catalyst of such size.

Bananas are a relevant food source for the world population, and there
are some 400 million humans who bring home bananas and not bacon for
their table every day.

Banana crops are very popular in the tropical areas and rank fourth on
the globe. It contains a lot of calories plus a considerable amount of
potassium, magnesium, and folic acid.
