Canadian dies in Afghanistan attack

KABUL--One Canadian soldier has been killed and one other was
wounded in a mortar attack while on patrol in southern Afghanistan.

Three other soldiers involved in the attack are Canadian, but they
escaped injury.

The soldiers were attacked while they were repairing the tread on their
tank.

Canada has 2,300 soldiers operating in southern Afghanistan.
