Zapatistas under attack, suspend southern Mexico plans

2007-09-25 | Subcomandante Marcos: Zapatistas under attack in Chiapas 
by police and paramilitary, plans for central and southern Chiapas 
supended. Zapatistas will proceed with the Intercontinental Encuentro 
in Vicam Pueblo Oct. 11-14, 2007.

Marcos said, "We will do what we have to do: resist. It does not 
matter if we have to do it alone. It wouldn't be the first time; 
before we became coffee-shop kitsch, alone indeed we were."
