Bush Receives Iraqi Prez

Washington, Oct 2 (Prensa Latina) President George W. Bush received on
Tuesday his Iraqi peer Jalal Talabani amid an increasing rejection of
the war in the US, with over 3,800 US troops killed.

Bush's spokesman Dana Perino said that during their meeting in the
White House they discussed "the process of national reconciliation" and
the national distribution of oil income.

They also discussed the entry of former members of the dissolved Baath
party in the new government and provincial elections in Iraq.

However, according to Perino, nothing was said about the case of US
security firm Blackwater, which has thousands of agents in Iraq and is
currently under strong criticism following the killing of 10 civilians
in Baghdad.

The US Congress started a hearing on Blackwater today.

Most US people think the Pentagon will lose the war and are in favour
of the return of US troops, according to surveys.
