Bolivia Keeps Its Full Right Over Hydrocarbons

Havana,  Nov 2 (acn)  Bolivian President Evo Morales welcomed the new 
foreign investments in the energy sector, but he ratified that his 
country is the sovereign owner of its hydrocarbons.

"Having partners to develop new exploration fields and 
industrialization is important, but the Bolivian people are the only 
owners of national energy resources," said Morales.

The Bolivian president also mentioned the case of Transredes 
distribution company, which was recently called to account due to its 
failure to meet the investment agreements.

Morales inaugurated Thursday the third extension of the gas pipeline in 
the Bolivian altiplano, which will increase by 5 million cubic feet the 
supply of natural gas to west Bolivia, reports Granma newspaper.

The Head of State called to fight the smuggling of natural gas, and 
expressed that Bolivia needs committed revolutionaries rather than mere 
government employees.
