Bilbao to Host Cooperation with Cuba Meeting

Havana, Nov 22 (acn) The 2nd State Meeting for Cooperation with Cuba 
organized by a Basque-based friendship-with-Cuba association will take 
place in the city of Bilbao, Spain, from December 14 to 16.

The Cuba-Euskadi Association has called together all the friendship 
organizations and institutes interested in broadening relations with 
Cuba to attend the meting, reports PL.

According to the meeting's promoters a new outlook is necessary since 
cooperation should be considered as both a right and a duty, based on 
the fact that all inhabitants of the world are equal.

Likewise, the Association defends any cooperation that contributes to 
the fulfillment of the Millennium Goals and encourages joint action of 
the civil society, local communities and national governments.

Specific topics to be discussed at the meeting include food 
sovereignty, the environment, ecology and renewable energy sources, 
among others.
