Cuba's Major Cosmetics Co. Doubles Production in 2007

Havana, Jan 3 (acn) Suchel Camacho S.A., Cuba's major perfumes and 
cosmetics company, contributed with 60 million pesos to the domestic 
economy in 2007, by making twice their target for the period.

The company manager Sonia Gomez told acn that a new line of toiletries 
will be produced in 2008 under the name "Las cosas de mi botica" (my 
pharmacy stuff).  The new products will focus on the traditional 
pharmacopoeia and will be made using only natural raw materials.

Suchel Camacho S.A. also makes some 25 million bottles for their own 
products and 10 million laminated tubes of toothpaste, to substitute 
imports.

The toiletries manufacturer intends to make 1.3 million dollars in 2008 
by exporting cosmetics and other products to Venezuela, the Dominican 
Republic, France, Panama and Mexico.

In the recently concluded 25th edition of the Havana Trade Fair 
(FIHAV), the Camerata line of perfumes and cosmetics, from Suchel 
Camacho S.A. won a gold medal for product quality.
