Mexico Thanks Cuba for Medical Aid to Flood Victims

Havana, Jan 4 (acn) The president of a health committee of the Mexican 
state of Tabasco thanked Cuba, and President Fidel Castro in 
particular, for sending over a medical brigade to the area to assist 
October 2007 flood victims.

In a letter posted by the UnomásUno daily newspaper, the social leader 
thanked the Cuban government for the help received from, 47 Cuban 
doctors and nurses, who gave assistance to the people of Tabasco.

The text, signed by Fanny Lisbeth Castro, says 'the doctors left behind 
many bonds brotherhood and in everyone's heart 'Thank-you Cuba,' quoted 
Granma newspaper online. The Cuban health experts gave of their best to 
every single Tabasco citizen, said the President of the health 
committee.

She went on saying that the Cuban doctors, who have already returned 
home, arrived in Mexico right after the disaster and that thanks to the 
medicines they distributed and their assistance, the Tabasco people are 
already recovering from the weather phenomenon.
