Havana, Jan 7 (acn) Somnath Chatterjee, president of India's Lower
Chamber is in Havana accompanied by several members of parliament for
an official visit to the country until January 10.

In statements to Prensa Latina, the Indian leader said the main

parliamentarian relations, as reported by Granma newspaper Monday.

Chatterjee said by traveling to Havana, the Indian delegation was
repaying the visit last year, 2007, of a group of Cuban

vice president of the People's Power National Assembly (parliament).

During their stay in the island, the Indian legislators will meet with
Cuban Vice President, Carlos Lage; Parliament President, Ricardo
Alarcon, and other government officials.

The group will also visit historic sites and places of social and
economic interest like Havana's Latin American Medical School.
